A – Critical

= Complete system standstill

  • Production is not possible. The error cannot be worked around either by organisational means or other means.

  • Example: licence expired or not available in test environment, table space issue, etc.

B – Serious

= Partial system standstill

  • Production is only possible with great restrictions. The main functions are not working correctly.

  • Operation is greatly impeded (i.e. elementary functions are not available to the user or are only available with great difficulty).

  • Individual processes cannot be carried out. No workaround is possible.

C – Medium

  • Error restricts the use of the service in productive operation, i.e. production is possible but with hindrances.

  • The processes can be processed by the customer with little effort or by using justifiable means.

  • There is a considerable amount of erroneous deal data.

D – Small

  • Error restricts the use of the service in productive operation, i.e. production is possible but with hindrances.

  • The processes can be processed by the customer with little effort or by using justifiable means.

  • There is a small amount of erroneous deal data.

E – Minor

  • Example: production is possible without  obstructions

  • The system can be used to its full scope without significant impairment for the user.

  • The problem only presents a slight deviation from the specification of the function.

  • This is the case when, for example:
    • The error can be worked around without any significant additional effort on the part of the customer using temporary workarounds.
    • Errors in documentation occur which can lead to a malfunction.
    • There are deviations from the specifications which do not significantly change the functionality.
    • Results displayed in internal reports/masks are not correct.
